The Meeting between Top Leaders Agree on 3 Points, Disagree on 1 Point

The meeting between the leaders of Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) at the National Assembly yesterday has agreed on three points and disagreed on one point. After the meeting, Mr. Prak Sokhon, representative of CPP and Mr. Yim Sovann, representative of CNRP, hold a conference concerning the meeting results. A joint statement released of the three points including: 1. Both parties agreed to respect and strictly adhere to the King’s royal message dated 16 September 2013, which appealed to all the nations, demonstrators and authorities to stop using violence in any form, yet return to tradition of non-violence and tolerance in order to avoid instability, to maintain peace and to resolve the national issues. 2. Both parties agreed to establish mechanism to change the form for the upcoming election. 3. Both parties will continue talking to solve the national issues. Anyhow, both parties disagreed on the point of the establishment of joint investigation committee as it is illegal and turning backward, which cause CPP cannot accept, said Mr. Prak Sokhon, representative of CPP. Korean Man Drives a Car Hit One Person Dead and One Injure in
Siem Reap City

A woman died immediately at a site, while another man got heavy injured after a Korean man drove a car and strongly hit them while riding a motorbike. The accident was happened on 15 September 2013, at around 1:00 am midnight, along the street N6, located in Sala Konsaeng Village, Sangkat Svay Dongkum, Siem Reap City.  A Korean man named PARK DO OOK, born in 1974, who is a business man in Cambodia, drove a car model Camry, car’s plate number Siem Reap 2A-7154. The dead person named Pong Sreyron, female, aged 22, lived in Rolous village, Srok Prasat Bakong. The heavy injurer named Pov Raksmey, male, aged 23, lived in Slorkram Village, Sangkat Slorkram, Siem Reap city, rode a motorbike model Honda C-125. According to a witness, after a Korean man strongly hit 2 persons, defendant drove a car away from the site with the aim of avoiding a mistake. Unfortunately, he hit for business advertising. A Korean man seemed to drunk while he was driving. After accident, defendant stayed in the hospital with the guarding from the police. According to anonymous police traffic officer, the accident had already been solved after a dead person received 3,000 USD and injurer received 2,000 USD. (Rasmei Kampuchea , 17 September 2013)
