The
King Appeals All Elected Candidates to Attend the National Assembly Session on
23 September
During a meeting between CPP
and CNRP on 14 September at the Royal Palace, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni
has appealed to all 123 elected candidates to attend the first session of the
fifth legislature of the National Assembly to be held on 23 September 2013, and
he also appealed to all the political leaders to understand and to work
together so as to maintain peace as well as political and social stability.
After the end of the meeting, the King has delivered an invitation letter
regarding to the first session of the fifth legislature of the National
Assembly to Samdech Hun Sen and Mr. Sam Rainsy. Besides, he also congratulated the
two political parties for its victory during the election. (Rasmei Kampuchea,

Elected
Candidates of CNRP Decide Not to Attend the National Assembly Session
After the meeting on 14
September at the Central Office of Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) had
been finished, 55 elected candidates of CNRP decided not to attend the National
Assembly session to be held on 23 September 2013. “We give the rights to each
elected candidate to decide through their consciousness and willingness without
betraying the citizens, yet if there is no any agreement between both parties
to find justice for the citizens, the elected candidates of CNRP will not be
able to attend the session”, said Mr. Kem Sokha, Vice-President of CNRP. (Rasmei

Another
Special Meeting between CPP and CNRP on Monday
After finished the meeting
with Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) under the royal presidency of His Majesty
the King, Mr. Kem Sokha, Vice-President of CNRP, told the reporters that there
will be another special meeting between CPP and CNRP to be held on Monday 16
September 2013, at 9:00 am at the National Assembly. “We already discussed, and
His Excellency President met H.E. Sar Kheng to set the time and delegation
meeting. The representative of CNRP including H.E. Sam Rainsy, Mr. Kem Sokha,
Mr. Pol Horm and other three assistants including H.E. Kouy Bunroeurn, H.E. Yim
