Penh Governor Says No Law to Sleep for Demonstration
The Cambodian National Rescue
Party (CNRP) dropped a letter to Phnom Penh City Hall yesterday concerning the
3 days non-violent demonstration, and the demonstrators will sit quietly and
stay at the Freedom Park from 15 to 17 September 2013, yet Phnom Penh City Hall
confirmed a protest lead by CNRP is opposite to demonstration law. In a letter,
the protest leader informed the Phnom Penh Governor that a non-violent demonstration
will be started from 7AM which enable demonstrators to show their ideas.
Besides, there will be an art performance, showing a movie, sitting quietly as
well as staying at Freedom Park. According to Mr. Khoung Sreng, Phnom Penh
Deputy Governor, the request of CNRP to stay at Freedom Park is opposite to
demonstration law as it is a public place. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 11 September

Some
Ministers in the Old Mandate to Disappear the Name in a New Mandate
The officer of Cambodian
People’s Party (CPP) said that some ministers who used to hold a position in
the 4th mandate will disappear the name in the 5th
mandate. This is a new structure, yet it still under the leading of Samdech
Techo Hun Sen. According to H.E. Cheam Yeap, Member of the Standing Committee
of the National Assembly, CPP has not yet issued a new structure for the 5th
mandate, which consists in the parliament leader and the Royal Government. CPP
is waiting for a stance of CNRP with CPP, and it has not yet installed the
Royal Government, yet a new government will be changed to a new structure due
