A Korean Man was Jailed for 2 Years of Killing Friend

Mr. Kor Vanndy, Deputy Chief of First Instance of Phnom Penh Court, announced yesterday a verdict on Korean man named HAM CHANG JOO, aged 57, who has been accused of using intentional violence and assassination on his friend, which was jailed for 2 years. On 26 September 2012, an assassination was happened at the rent house No 30C, Sangkat Chroy Changvar, Khan Russey Keo. On that day, the defendant killed his friend with a knife due to the fighting words. After the accident, the defendant and other two persons called Taxi in order to bring a victim to Calmette Hospital; unfortunately, a victim died when arrived at the hospital. Another person reported this case to the police; consequently, the defendant was arrested. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 5 July 2013)
