Cambodian Foreign Minister: Cambodia is facing with Labor Force Issues owing to a Work Migration

“Cambodia now lacking of labor force since lots of citizens moved to work in abroad. Cambodian People’s Party not only liberated Cambodian citizens from Pol Pot Regime but also assisted in distributing the lands when they returned home as well as developed the country from poverty to real prosperity. In addition, the government also tried its effort to find a job for the citizens, and up to now, Cambodia turns to lack of labor force due to a work migration of its citizens”, said H.E. Hor Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation during his meeting with 3,000 citizens at Kompong Cham province on 20 July 2013. (Kampuchea Tmey, 21-22 July 2013)

Vietnam Confirms Its Export Products to Cambodia worth 1,18 Billion USD in the First Semester

During the first semester of the year 2013, the quantity of Vietnam’s export products to Cambodia was 1,18 billion USD worth, according to the figure from the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam. From January to June, Cambodia was the biggest export market of Vietnam. Besides, Vietnam’s export products to the United States was 8,27 billion USD worth, the Arab League was 1,8 billion USD worth, England was 1,47 billion USD worth and Cambodia was 1,18 billion USD worth, it added.
