Namhong: Some Countries Stop Providing Aids Due to a Real Development in
Cambodia
Up to now, some countries such
as England has stopped providing aids due to a real development in Cambodia,
said H.E. Hor Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation, during a yesterday meeting with 3,000 citizens at Kompong Cham
province. Lately, International Organization declared that Cambodia now no
longer suffers from hunger anymore; therefore, some countries have stopped
providing aids owing to a real development in Cambodia, not due to any other

Cambodia’s
Trade Shows a Positive Trend in the First Semester
of
the Year 2013
Cambodia’s trade sector,
especially the exportation shows a positive trend of this year. During the
first six months of the year 2013, Cambodia’s total trade worth approximately
7,62 billion USD, up 20% in comparing to the same period last year, which worth
approximately 6,36 billion USD, said the report. Cambodia’s export products
worth 3,15 billion USD, up 26 percent, while the import products worth 4,47
billion USD, up 16 percent. Besides, textile sector still be considered as the
main sector of Cambodia’s exportation, and its export value worth over 2
billion USD. Although the value of Cambodia’s rice export to international
market still lower than the exportation of garment and textile products, it
tends to reach the goal of exporting one million tons of rice per year by 2015.
During the first six months of this year, the quantity of Cambodia’s rice
export was 176,000 tons, up 125,56 percent in comparing to the same period last
year with the quantity of 78,000 tons, it added. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 17 July
