AFD Provides Additional Loan of 192,467 Euro in Strengthen Prison Library Project in Cambodia

Through SIPA Organization, the French Development Agency (AFD) provided additional loan of 192,467 euro (approximately 250,000 USD) to General Director of Prisons in strengthen prison library project in Cambodia for 2 years (2013-2014). The MoU was signed yesterday by Mr. Kuy Bun Sorn, Director General of the General Department of Prisons and Mr. Hok Sothi, Director of SIPA Organization. According to Mr. Hok Sothi, the additional loan will be further used to strengthen on the project including 1. To strengthen and expand the prison library which will be built in 2013-2014. 2. To equip more furniture in all the libraries which will be opened in 2013-2014. 3. To provide more books for all libraries in the country. 4. To equip more computers in order to fulfill requirement and necessary. 5. To provide social service before and after released defenders at the first and second correction center (to prevent the use of drug and to provide the knowledge on HIV/AIDS). The World’s Most Famous Newspapers Predict PM Hun Sen to Win the Election

              The world’s most famous newspapers predicted that PM Hun Sen will win the upcoming election. The newspaper “Fox news” unofficially translated that “On 28 July, we expected that PM Hun Sen, a true Cambodian hero, will win the upcoming election”. The newspaper “Canadian Broadcasting Corporation” wrote that “We are sure that PM Hun Sen will win the election and stay in power until he is 90 year-old”. The newspaper “Daily News” also wrote that “PM Hun Sen will win the election without any difficulties”. (Kampuchea Tmey, 4 July 2013)
