1.                               Politics/Human Rights

Phnom Penh Municipal Hall Warns to Arrest and Break out the Gathering of the Civil Society Group
                                                                                                        
Around 100 people of the non-governmental organization and union will gather today in front of the four embassies in Cambodia including the US, UK, French and German Embassy with the aim of demanding for a release of Mr. Vorn Pov and other 23 activists and workers. Yet, the Phnom Penh Municipal Hall doesn’t allow those people to do so; otherwise, they will be arrested and broke out the gathering. Mr. Nay Vongda, Vice-President of investigating and lawyer group of ADHOC Association, said at least 100 people from organizations, associations and 9 unions have to make a request to release the 23 activists, and we hope that other embassies, especially the government will consider the request of the civil society. 2.                 Diplomatic Issue

Senate Inaugurates Three China Funded Buildings worth Over 7 Million USD
                                                                                                        
The government of China has provided 48,460,000 Yuan (7,700,000 USD) for the construction of three-storey buildings, which equipped with high-tech equipment and office furniture to Cambodian senate. The buildings were constructed from 20 January 2012 to 20 December 2014 and officially inaugurated yesterday in the presence of H.E.  Say Chhum, Cambodian Senate’s First Vice President, H.E. Bu Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, a high-level official of the Royal Government, senate and parliament members, national and international guests. China will further strengthen cooperation in the field of infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and culture with Cambodia and continue to support the government in economic development, standard of living improvement and poverty reduction of the people, said Chinese Ambassador.
