Phnom Penh Capital Hall Meets CNRP Concerning Demonstration to Be Held on 23-25 October

The demonstration leaders of Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) have informed the governor of Phnom Penh Capital Hall of a non-violent mass demonstration to be held for three days from 23 to 25 October. A representative of Phnom Penh Capital Hall will meet a representative of CNRP on 18 October 2013, but the Capital Hall has not yet confirmed about demonstration. Mr. Ho Van, Mr. Mao Monyvan, and Mr. Kouy Bun Roeurn, the leader of demonstration, informed the governor of Phnom Penh Capital Hall that CNRP will make a non-violent demonstration so as to find justice for the citizens concerning the irregularities during the election and to claim the Royal Government to fully respect and implement in accordance with the Paris Peace Agreement on 23 October 1991 as well as insure to respect human rights through the principle of liberal multi-party democracy as stated in the constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia. BNA Korean Rubber Company in Kompong Thom Lies about Providing Salary for the Staffs
Mr. BACT YUNC KHUN, head of BNA (Cam) Corp, a Korean rubber company in Santuk district, Kompong Thom Province, has been accused of lying about providing salary for 28 staffs. As a matter of fact, the staffs haven’t received salary for three or five months with the amount from 400 USD to 2000 USD per person. According to anonymous employee, head of the company has pledged to provide salary for the staffs for many times, but he didn’t, and each staff has just received 100 USD on 1 October. For other four months salaries, he pledged to provide next week or after next week. The staffs had been waiting for salary for five months, and finally they had received only 100 USD. Therefore, they had file a lawsuit to the office of Labor and Vocational Training in Kompong Thom province so as to receive a full amount of their salaries. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 18 October 2013)

KOICA and Cambodia-Korea Alumni Association Provide Humanity Donation to 100 Orphans
The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Cambodia-Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) provided humanity donation including study materials, medicines and lots of foods for over 100 orphans in Kompong Speu province. According to Mr. Moeurng Chamroeun, Chairman of an orphanage, the center is taking care of 103 children, and it completely depends on both national and international aids of generous persons. Ms. Baek Sook Hee, President of KOICA, expressed her compassion and pledged to seek more aids to help those orphans. In addition, she has suggested them to study hard so as to become an important person in society and hoped that their dreams will become true in the future. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 18 October 2013)
